We’re pretty sure we’ve mentioned this site and app, but as we’re going through all the audio drama directories, we’re sure we should include Podchaser.
It’s changed a lot since it first started in 2016.. and it is for all podcasts, not just audio fiction. In fact, it is trying to be a lot of things for a lot of people: a means for listeners to both listen to their podcasts and find new ones. There’s even a social media aspect of creating favorite lists and it’s been trying to become an “IMDb for podcasts.”
For creators, they’re pitching analytics, including information on audience demographics. They even have API integration and there is a free level. Of course, they also have a “Pro” and “Enterprise” level which we haven’t tried (in fact, pricing appears dependent on a demo). In other words, we’ve kept on the free side of things. For example, free registration allows you to claim your podcasts as a creator and also create your own podreader list as a listener.
