July 2012. After dealing with Las Vegas mobsters and other ambitious criminal elements, former online poker pro Jimmy Harmon has returned to his old haunts in Los Angeles.
Jabberwocky Audio Theater is continuing the tales from the Quorum. This second season (10 episodes) sees the return of the titular gambler, Jimmy Harmon, but moves the action to Los Angeles, a little over a year after the events of “Outstanding Debts.”
Many of the characters heard in season one, “Outstanding Debts,” will be heard, but, as before, there are lots of new characters and colorful atmosphere. Our goal is to get auditions in by Saturday, October 17th.
Recording Dates and Recording Location
We have two options for recording location, depending on how pandemic conditions unfold. Regardless, we will try and record between November 2020 and February 2021 based on people’s schedules.
Plan A would be to hold tables reads over Zoom or the equivalent (there will likely need to be more than one because of the 10 episode season). Then, we would record with one or two people at a time at Arlington Independent Media (AIM).
Plan B would be to still have the virtual table reads, but record at Bjorn’s home studio in Springfield one actor at a time.
This is the “Tulgey Wood Studios” location you may have heard referenced in episodes and which was set up before AIM was an option for up to six non-socially distanced people at a time. Now, we’d just have the actor, Bill masked at a distance, and Bjorn masked and serving as the engineer in another room.
In both plans, using the same location will allow us to have the same audio quality for each character — and make it easier to schedule all of you, including retakes as needed.
As the process above implies, we will have some flexibility in recording dates, though we expect the sessions to be Saturdays, Sundays, and some weeknights in most cases.
Our goal is to start recording in November 2020 and complete all recording by February 2021 for an anticipated October 2021 broadcast (we have learned to leave plenty of time for post-production).
Compensation
Like season one, the base rate will be $75 per recording session. However, since some of you would be coming in to record a lot more lines (i.e. longer recording sessions), we will likely figure out a way that those longer recording sessions pay more.
Cast of Characters
There are just as many characters and denizens as the last full season. Many characters are returning from season one, so you’ll see the actor listed, so we’re looking for the many characters marked “To Be Cast.”
Also, we’re hoping that everyone will be up for voicing some of the Colorful Atmosphere (who often have just one line).

Remember, we’re focusing on the Key Figures, Featured Players, and Ensemble, not including the announcer, who’s already cast.
If you’re a company member who just wants to join in for one or more of the characters in the “Colorful Atmosphere,” let us know.
Record yourself reading your preferred role (or roles) from the sides and upload the files to our Dropbox folder. You should not need any account with Dropbox to do so, just click on this Dropbox link. MP3s are perfectly fine
Label the audio file “[Character].mp3”. Dropbox should automatically add your name to it, so we’ll get a file called “Jane Submitter – Farah.mp3”
Please upload a separate audio file for each character. Separate takes may be in the same audio file or different files, whichever you prefer.
We’re trying to take our time with the casting, so please reach out with questions or to discuss particular characters or the story (though we may be silent about some of the plot twists). And, naturally, if you have questions about submitting, please drop us a line. The general email casting@teamjabberwocky.com works.
Again, please aim to submit your auditions by Saturday, October 17th.
We look forward to your submissions!

Bjorn Munson, producer/casting director
